We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Operations Manager – Medical Billing to lead healthcare revenue cycle operations and drive operational excellence across billing teams. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring client delivery expectations are met, improving operational performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced healthcare support environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in physician medical billing, healthcare operations management, client engagement, and team leadership, with a proven ability to drive productivity, quality, and compliance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily physician medical billing operations and overall team performance
- Drive KPI, SLA, productivity, quality, and client satisfaction results
- Monitor denial rates, AR aging, claim accuracy, and operational trends
- Lead client reporting, business reviews, operational meetings, and performance discussions
- Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Partner with QA, Training, WFM, and Leadership teams to implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, CMS-1500 requirements, payer guidelines, and healthcare billing standards
- Coach and develop Team Leaders and staff to support performance growth and employee engagement
- Identify opportunities for operational optimization, automation, and revenue improvement
- Manage escalations and support resolution of complex billing and operational issues
- Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or healthcare operations
- Leadership experience within healthcare, medical billing, or BPO operations environments
- Strong understanding of physician billing workflows and revenue cycle management processes
- Strong knowledge of CMS-1500, CPT, ICD-10, denial management, AR follow-up, and payer guidelines
- Experience managing operational KPIs, SLAs, productivity, quality, and client performance metrics
- Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems, payer portals, and billing platforms preferred
- Ability to manage multiple teams and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, operational excellence, and compliance standards
- Experience handling US healthcare accounts is highly preferred
