What You'll Do:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Networking Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and ensuring optimal performance of LAN/WAN systems. This role involves working closely with IT staff and end-users to resolve network issues and support organizational connectivity needs.

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance and perform routine testing to ensure availability and reliability.
• Assist in the implementation of network upgrades and infrastructure projects.
• Document network configurations, changes, and incident resolutions.
• Provide technical support to users regarding network access and usage.
• Maintain physical infrastructure including cabling, patch panels, and racks.
• Ensure network security by applying necessary updates, patches, and access control policies.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 13 years of experience in a networking or IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN architecture, and network protocols.
• Hands-on experience with networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Ubiquiti, etc.).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
• Experience with VLANs, VPNs, and firewall management.
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for network automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with VoIP and cloud networking solutions.
