Mobile Software Developer (React Native)

That's why we are building a large-scale network of 100% renewable powered, free, EV charging stations to make charging more convenient, fast and affordable.

We are on the hunt for a Mobile Software Developer. This role will support the Product and Operations team in building, deploying and maintaining outstanding mobile app experiences for JOLT customers.

Key responsibilities

• Work across the full stack, designing and building highly scalable distributed app solutions in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
• Work collaboratively with the Product Manager and Designer to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Estimate full life cycle development effort
• Lead technical design and implementation of new projects from discovery through to deployment
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
  
  

Technical skills

• 5+ years full stack development experience, with a focus on using React Native, and secondary experience using Flutter, React JS/Redux/Hooks...TypeScript
• Solid experience with JavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS3 and responsive application design for iOS and Android
• Solid proficiency in React Native framework and hands-on experience in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using React Native
• Strong knowledge and experience in utilising AWS services for mobile app development
• Experience in integrating third-party libraries and SDKs into React Native projects to extend functionality and leverage platform-specific features
• Proven experience in integrating React Native applications with external public APIs, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, or other web service APIs. Familiarity with API documentation, authentication methods, and data formats (JSON/XML) is essential
• Proficiency in handling API responses, parsing JSON data, and efficiently managing data synchronization between the app and the API. Ability to implement error handling strategies, including proper error reporting and user feedback for API-related issues
• Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, cross-device compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Rapidly prototype applications to showcase new concepts and ideas and push to full production
• Ability to suggest new technologies and approaches
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies
• Customer-centric approach with experience in best UI/UX best practices
• Experience with OCPI and OCPP protocol will be highly regarded
