Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects and organizes information required for the preparation of Test Plans and Test Cases/Scripts, user's manuals, training materials, installation guides and reports
  • Creates and maintains test cases/test scripts/test scenarios and executes them
  • Reviews testing documents such as test plan, requirement traceability matrix, software delivery receipt, system acceptance testing certificate, etc..
  • Conducts functional, usability, regression, stress and full cycle testing of software systems
  • Documents all test results and ensures all project issues are logged in the issue tracking tool
  • Automate test cases using Jmeter for performance testing
  • Performs code reviews to improve the quality of the test code/scripts
  • Coordinates with the SMs, PMs, BAs and TMs to ensure that all software builds for commercial and internal release have passed the QE standards
  • Assist Software Engineers in isolating, investigating and identifying root causes by tracking results of different combinations of scenarios and preconditions, through logs, screenshots, etc..
  • Collaborates with business analysts and software engineers in requirement discussions and provides feedback from testability perspective
  • Recommends improvements in software to enhance user experience
  • Enforces defect management procedures within the project teams
  • Enforces the project team compliance of testing processes and testing best practices
  • Provides testing effort assessments such as identification of test phases, level of effort and duration of testing activities
  • Provides technical consultation, solutioning support and effort assessments to Sales and Presales
  • Coaches admin members for their KPI alignments, career growth, facilitate their training requests, monitor their attendance and handle member incidents
  • Explores and recommends Quality Engineering frameworks, platforms and tools
  • Contributes in refining testing processes for both Waterfall and Agile teams
  • Contributes in refining testing best practices to improve the quality of tests
  • Assists in profiling group members and provides advice to group heads in the project allocation of members
  • Assists in job candidate screening and skills assessments for the Quality Engineering group
  • Assists in facilitating talent growth, taking training opportunities and certifications for the Quality Engineering group
  • Participates in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives of Quality Engineering group
  • Follows the ISO 9001:2015 standards and complies with all its requirements
Job Competencies:
  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent.
  • Technical/ Functional Skills. Refers to the skills directly required for the competent performance of the job.
  • Quality Assurance Skills - Assures that the standards, processes and procedures are appropriate for the project and are correctly implemented
  • Quality Control Skills - checks that the project follows its standards processes, and procedures, and that the project produces the required internal and external (deliverable) products.
  • Tech savvy (internet, databases, software applications) Knowledge of QA/Test tools
