Job Description

This is for a British multinational banking and financial services company.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Refining the vision/ strategy and drive our digital / data journey
  • Creating and maintaining a prioritized Book of Work
  • Conduct research to see what's new and trending in the digital / data space internally and externally
  • Ensuring submission of progress reports, benefits reports, red packs and closure reports to governance forums
  • Responsible for tracking benefits realization and adoption on an ongoing basis
  • Perform the Product Owner role as part of the Agile delivery team; responsible for maximizing the business value of the product and be accountable for successful delivery
  • Eliciting requirements from front facing staff & stakeholders across various business segments, product lines and functions.
  • Clearly communicating priorities, sprint goals and acceptance criteria to the scrum team
  • Defining user stories to facilitate clear communication of requirements to the scrum team, including definition of done.
  • Act as a key player in the different events of the development cycle: daily scrums, team demos and retrospectives, SIT, UAT and sign-off from business stakeholders.
  • Review test cases and evidence to ensure enough test coverage
  • Facilitate and drive our business / data analyst groups to brainstorm new ideas

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer or equivalent required; Master's Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of Banking industry work experience in large-scale projects/programs with significant change impact and multiple dependencies within and across organizational boundaries.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the technical / business considerations involved with digital initiatives within banks, including; infrastructure, security, integration etc
  • Strong stakeholder management ability in handling wide ranging and senior stakeholders.
  • Capable and reliable in meeting tight schedules and deadlines as well as high attention to detail while
  • Prior experience in delivering Data Analytics solutions.
  • Strong data skillset, including SQL query building and/or BI analytics
  • maintaining clear customer expectations throughout the life cycle of a project/engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects successfully from inception thru to delivery through Agile methodology - ideally as a

Product Owner with Good planning and forward-thinking skills.

  • Ability to simultaneously execute multiple roles individually, including SCRUM Product Owner, SCRUM Master, PM/Business Analyst, Data Analyst.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills are essential.
  • Preferred but not essential
  • Hands on experience with Data analytics and Visualization tools
  • Knowledge of Data Quality Management Framework within Banks/financial institutions
  • SCRUM - Product Owner Certified
