Responsibilities:
As a Tier 3 Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer, you will handle complex network issues, lead technical projects, and provide expertise in network and security.
Your responsibilities include:
- Escalation Resolution: Resolve Tier 2 escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolutions to critical network incidents.
- Advanced Network Changes: Perform level 2-3 network change requests, including complex configurations and implementations, while adhering to change management processes.
- Network Design and Architecture: Lead network design initiatives, collaborating with cross- functional teams to develop robust and scalable network architectures.
- Network and Security Installations: Oversee network and security infrastructure installations, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
- Technical Project Management: Lead technical projects, coordinating resources, managing timelines, and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Network Security: Address network security escalations, conduct vulnerability assessments, and recommend and implement security solutions.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, security configurations, and project activities, and actively share knowledge with team members.
- Team Knowledge Base: Maintain the team's knowledge base to improve overall performance, skills, and knowledge within the team. This includes updating documentation, organizing training sessions, and promoting knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Customer Ticket Updates: Provide regular updates to customers regarding the status and progress of their tickets.
- Project Management and Reporting: Lead projects, oversee project documentation, and generate reports to track project progress and outcomes.
- Network Maintenance: Attend network maintenance activities during or off business hours as required.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced wireless networking expertise, with CWNA certification required and active pursuit of the broader CWNP track (CWDP, CWSP, CWAP, and ultimately CWNE) viewed favorably. Hands-on experience is expected across enterprise WLAN platforms including Fortinet FortiAP, Aruba, and Cisco Meraki, with proficiency in RF planning, site survey methodology, 802.11ax/Wi-Fi 6E standards, high-density and roaming optimization, and secure deployment models incorporating 802.1X, WPA3-Enterprise, and RADIUS-integrated authentication. Environment to design, validate, and troubleshoot wireless networks across diverse customer environments is essential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in network engineering or a similar field.
- Thorough understanding of IT LAN and WAN networking concepts.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Fortinet Technologies.
- Hold industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP or Fortinet Certified Professional. Cisco CCIE or Fortinet Certified Solutions Specialist is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
