Overview

Responsibilities

  • Research financial regulatory documents of open, closed end, and variable annuity mutual funds and ETFs
  • Analyze and capture key industry data for client-facing applications and research reports.
  • Work collaboratively with team members both in the Philippines and in the U.S.
  • Effectively utilize proprietary databases, the SEC Edgar website, and the Internet to complete research.
  • Perform data quality assurance: identifying and analyzing data quality issues.
  • Actively cross-train and expand opportunities to work on various related research responsibilities.
  • Do in-depth analysis of mutual fund investment strategies and objectives.
  • Determine relevant and interesting industry changes and summarize concisely in client reports.
  • Create and update documentation of work processes and maintain institutional knowledge in a centralized, web-based database.
  • Support relevant process improvements, as well as technology projects, by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Keep up to date on financial industry news and market trends.
Qualifications

Training & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Business or a closely related field (Fresh graduates are highly accepted).
  • Preferably has at least a year of relative work experience gathering and analyzing financial data.
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, follow-through, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment (can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural team)
Experience working with any of the following would be a plus:
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel for financial data manipulation and preparation.
  • Familiarity with annual reports and board reporting (15c, AoV)
  • Knowledge of mutual fund fee structures
Work Location & Schedule:
  • Amenable working at Makati City on a permanent midshift schedule (2 pm 11 PM, Manila Time)
  • Amenable to go on a 2-month onsite training prior to transitioning to hybrid working arrangement.
  • Hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days work onsite per week)
