Job Description

Position: AU Jr. Bookkeeper

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM (PH Time) 

Salary: Php 50,000 - Php 65,000

Work setup: Office (Clark, Pampanga)

 

We are seeking an AU Jr. Bookkeeper who will handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for the business. Responsibilities include performing routine bookkeeping functions, entering transactions, verifying the accuracy of financial data (including bank reconciliations), assisting in the preparation of reports, and carrying out other duties as required. 

In this role, you will: 

Financial Planning & Advice Support (Primary Focus)  

  • Problem-solving to ensure business outcomes are achieved 
  • Prepare and record day-to-day transactions of a business unit in books and ledgers (data-entry) 
  • Process, prepare, and record invoices and vendor bills 
  • Track, record, and maintain expenditure records with details 
  • Manage creditor payments if applicable, at the direction of the client or the senior bookkeeper 
  • Reconcile debtors and creditors and ensure accuracy 
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts to the statement 
  • Assist the Senior Bookkeeper and other staff in maintaining all financial transactions and administration  
  • Maintain bookkeeping records, copying, and filing information as required 
  • Payroll processing 
  • Superannuation reconciliation and returns 
  • Prepare query list for Senior bookkeeper 
  • BAS and IAS calculations 
  • Assist the Senior bookkeeper in EOFY preparation and the running of reports 
  • Assist the Senior Bookkeeper in handling changes to accounting books and balance accounts 
  • Use and maintain internal systems, including but not limited to electronic timesheets, project management software, etc. 

We're looking for Someone Who has: 

  • Able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and embrace a range of clients from a broad range of industries 
  • Minimum of four years experience in a bookkeeping role.  
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work as part of the wider team. 
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding client and business information 
  • Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double-check as necessary 
  • Work co-operatively and independently 
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and organize, with attention to detail 
  • Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development 
  • Understand and demonstrate the importance of teamwork 

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and other relevant financial management packages. 
  • Significant experience with bookkeeping software such as Xero, IntuitQBO, MYOB, Dext, Hubdoc, etc.
