Protects system
o Defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
Recognizes problems
o 1. Identifying abnormalities;
o 2. Reporting violations.
Implements security improvements
o Assessing current situation;
o Evaluating trends;
o Anticipating requirements.
Determines security violations and inefficiencies
o Conducting periodic audits.
Upgrades system
o Implementing and maintaining security controls.
Keeps users informed
o Preparing performance reports;
o Communicating system status.
Maintains quality service
o Following organization standards.
Maintains technical knowledge
o Attending educational workshops; reviewing publication
Maintains User Access matrix
o Manages checking and updating of User Access matrix
Performs safety duties and responsibilities, and complies with all the safety standards indicated in the Safety Manual.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
IT security deals with protecting information on computer systems and networks. This includes using anti-virus software, firewalls, and password protected access.
