Intercompany Accounting, Team Lead
This position reports to Intercompany, Senior Team Lead and is based in Paranaque, Philippines
This role will be part of the Global Services Finance team in the Fixed Assets Accounting process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance.
The Fixed Assets accounting team is responsible for the complete and accurate accounting for all the tangible and intangible fixed asset process flows (including leasing). This includes but is not limited to ensuring accurate capitalization of assets including on-going impairment/UEL reviews, calculating, and posting depreciation/amortization, managing retirement/disposal postings, and ultimately ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations.

What You Will Do
Core responsibilities include:
Responsible for the complete and accurate accounting for all the Inter & Intra company process flows for stock and non-stock transactions. This includes but is not limited to creating the Sales and corresponding Purchase orders, reconciling out-of-balances, monitoring ageing, and performing balance sheet reconciliations
Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements
Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope
Deep expertise, fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas
Generate ideas, foster, and implement continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities
Execute global Strategy & Solutions in line with taxonomy
If assigned the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) then candidates will be responsible to ensure cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach
Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items
Influence and Execute process improvements, generating ideas and implementing them in line with global standards
Compliance
Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities
Understand, adhere to, and execute worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to remediate / prevent breach
Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve adequate internal and external audit ratings
Leadership and People Management
Recruit, onboarding, and training of new joiners
On the job training for new team members / BPO partners
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's level degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting or finance
CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other financial certifications are preferred
Languages:
Fluent English, other language skills desirable Fluent English
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience and Skills Required:
At least 4 years of professional experience is required
At least 1 year of Management / Supervisory experience is required
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
Strong Analytical Skills
Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies
Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO
Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company
Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach
Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines
Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office in particular Excel
Other:
Candidates may be asked to work shifts to align with global assignments in Americas / EMEA / Asia
Lead/Participate in other Regional/Global/Cross functional duties as assigned
