, Job Description

The Research and Development Specialist ensures that:

• The New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) Process is followed in new product initiatives.
• Customer data are interpreted and analyzed and solutions or ideas for new products and market opportunities are discovered.
• Insights from customers for new products are captured.
• Initial hazard analysis and risk assessment of new products are conducted before product development.
• Experimental design and project timeline are created; milestones and targets are monitored and accomplished.
• All business, technical, safety, and quality requirements of new products are achieved before launching.
• The shelf-life declaration of new products are established and verified.
• Product labels of all new products are compliant to applicable Regulatory and Statutory standards.
• Appropriate packaging materials are developed and approved for use in all new products.
• The specifications and other requirements for new products are established, reviewed, and communicated to QA, Procurement, and Production.
• All requirements for registration of new products are prepared accurately.
• Product Costing and margins of new products are computed in coordination with Finance.
• The performance of newly launched products are monitored; troubleshooting of quality and performance concerns are conducted; and appropriate action plans are recommended and implemented.
• All required documented information and reports are submitted on time.

Graduate of Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology or Chemical Engineering

At Least 3 Years Experience In R&D Functions

Additional Information

• The R&D Specialist assumes an active role in end-user/ customer engagements both as mentor and technical resource.
• The R&D Specialist takes a prominent role in the implementation and maintenance of systems such as 5S/GMP, Safety, HACCP, Halal, Food Safety and ISO.
• The R&D Specialist actively participates in all company programs on quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility and risk management.
