Furniture Draftsman
Location: Carmona, Cavite

Position Overview
Designs Ligna is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Furniture Draftsman to support the development and execution of bespoke furniture and interior projects. The role involves translating design concepts, sketches, and reference images into accurate technical drawings suitable for costing, prototyping, production, and installation.
The ideal candidate has strong technical drafting abilities, a solid understanding of furniture construction and manufacturing, and the ability to collaborate closely with design, R&D, and production teams to ensure items are production ready before release.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Produce furniture drawings from sketches, photos, reference images, and design concepts
• Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings based on provided designs and specifications
• Prepare complete furniture and fixture shop drawings using AutoCAD
• Generate detailed cutting lists and material breakdowns from approved drawings
• Produce detailed technical drawings including:
• Ensure all drawings are practical, accurate, and manufacturable before release to production
• Understand the impact of drawings on production efficiency, assembly, and costing
• Conduct quality checks and reviews of completed drawings to identify errors or inconsistencies
• Research and verify the availability of required hardware, fittings, and materials for new items
• Coordinate closely with factory staff, R&D carpenters, and production teams regarding technical concerns and revisions
• Follow up after release to production to ensure the item performs properly on the production line
• Update drawings continuously as improvements, revisions, and production adjustments are made
• Ensure all required jigs and patterns are created, properly labeled, and filed before release of items
• Maintain organized and updated digital drawing files and project documentation
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, specifications, and reports as required
• Support costing, procurement, and project coordination teams with technical clarifications
• Work collaboratively across departments and contribute as a proactive team player
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Technical Drafting, Industrial Design, or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in furniture construction, millwork, or furniture manufacturing industry preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office
• Experience with SketchUp, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar 3D software is an advantage
• Strong understanding of wooden furniture manufacturing, woodworking processes, joinery, and woodworking machinery
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify production issues before release
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Good communication skills with both factory staff and management
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Reporting & Collaboration
The Furniture Draftsman is expected to work closely with the Design Team, Production Team, Procurement, R&D, and Project Management to ensure smooth project execution from concept development through manufacturing and installation.
