This role is crucial in providing accurate financial insights through detailed reporting, variance analysis, and strategic planning. By focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, the position supports organizational decision-making and drives improvements in financial outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Reports: Responsible for creating and analyzing financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Variance Analysis: Collects and analyzes variance reports across departments, providing insights to top management for decision-making.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting
Financial Plans and Forecasts: Prepares, analyzes, and summarizes recommendations for annual or quarterly financial plans, including trend analysis.
Budget Preparation: Initiates and coordinates the preparation of budgets, gathering inputs and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Conducts budget reviews and communicates status to departments.
3. Strategic Financial Initiatives
Long-term Financial Planning: Develops 3-year and 5-year financial budgets and forecasts to guide strategic decisions.
Scenario Analysis: Prepares profit and loss scenarios for new ventures or expansions, contributing to strategic business decisions.
4. Process Improvement and Decision Support
Operational Performance Analysis: Produces and presents analyses of financial and operational performance, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Implements processes to enhance analytical, reporting, and forecasting capabilities, driving improvements in financial performance.
5. Driving Change and Innovation
Innovative Solutions: Uses data analysis to challenge the status quo and drive change within the organization.
Financial Optimization: Deep dives into financial data to identify opportunities for improving financial performance across business lines.
6. Compliance and Oversight
Regulatory Compliance: Ensures budgeting processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Collaboration: Works closely with CFO and various departments to gather inputs and align financial strategies with overall company goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any other related field
At least 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles and concepts.
Preferred but not required: experience in healthcare industry/company.
Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Finance based modelling skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
