Job Description

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager (CPA) is responsible for overseeing the company's financial health by managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. This role ensures accurate financial data, supports strategic decision-making, and maintains compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and local regulations.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial forecasts.

Accounting Operations

  • Supervise general accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Ensure proper implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manage year-end closing and external audit coordination.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting process and financial planning.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop financial models to support business initiatives and investments.

Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, income tax, withholding tax, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and risk management processes.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Establish performance goals and provide coaching and mentorship.
  • Promote process improvements and automation initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 58 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 23 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
