Job Description

Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to drive and lead the accounting, tax, and compliance functions of our company, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and efficiency in processes.

The ideal candidate will design and implement processes and procedures related to accounting, tax, and compliance, with a strong focus on Philippine compliance, IFRS, and other APAC GAAP, while also possessing a solid foundation in accounting and tax principles applicable to all jurisdictions where our operations are present or planned. Consolidation and external and management reporting experience are essential.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills and be adept at challenging the status quo, accepting challenges, and embracing new ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Strategy: Formulate strategic financial plans to support the company's long-term growth, including investments, funding strategies, and capital structure decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance performance, ensuring high motivation and effectiveness.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to understand their financial needs and challenges, developing budgets and forecasts to support departmental objectives and company growth.
  • Operational Efficiency: Conduct comprehensive reviews of company operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains, optimizing resource allocation without compromising quality.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, analyze financial trends, and provide recommendations for adjustments and reallocations as necessary. Present financial reports to the leadership team.
  • Accounting Operations: Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including month and end-year processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, audit, and budgeting.
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports or statements, and provide insights to improve business performance.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting practices. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • System Optimization: Improve current accounting systems and procedures, initiate controls, and coordinate with auditors and financial advisors.
  • Tax Management: Manage tax payments and reporting requirements to authorities and regulatory bodies, coordinating with auditors and other financial advisors.
  • Policies and Procedures: Implement appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of finances and conduct competitive and cost engineering activities.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Supervisor or Manager with focus in audit, group financial statement preparation, and tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
