Description
Generate technically and grammatically correct test and torque reports on critical customer electrical assets, based on test data, torque reports, and reference materials supplied by Technical Service, Electrical Reliability Services. The customer test and torque reports details inspected customer equipment, inspection procedures, and inspection results and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Validate torque report and test data, ensuring alignment with the project-specific one-line diagrams and the approved coordination study.
- Review and comment on commissioning documents based on relevant parameters and specifications to confirm accuracy and compliance with project standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of professional experience in the field of electrical testing and commissioning
- Familiarity with standards from InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), National Electrical Code (NEC), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and American National (ANSI), etc.
- Knowledge and theoretical understanding of building electrical systems, including normal and emergency power distribution systems, critical power systems, generators, automatic transfer switches, metering, motor control centers, and interlocks.
- Solid knowledge of (1) tests performed on circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and other power distribution components and equipment; (2) power quality issues and perspectives and experience with power quality analyzer software; (3) infrared inspections and issues, and experience with thermal imaging software; (4) reading and understanding electrical distribution one-line diagrams and associated Division 26 specifications; (5) reading and understanding Short Circuit and Coordination Studies (SCCS); and (6) torque and continuity reports for electrical terminations on electrical distribution equipment.
- Background and experience in operation and maintenance of switchgear through the 600V class.
- Good knowledge of technical English, and good business writing skills.
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with points of contact (POCs) and peers.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Willing to work on flexible hours.
