Job Description

We're looking for an Email Marketing Manager to own the day-to-day execution of the retention channel across email and SMS. This is a hands-on, platform-level role. You'll be working directly in Klaviyo building flows, writing briefs, managing campaigns, and reporting on performance.

You'll sit within a small, tight team and report directly to the Director of Marketing.

What You'll OwnFlow Management

  • Build, maintain, and optimise all automated flows in Klaviyo
  • Identify structural issues and performance gaps with data-backed recommendations
  • Build new flows from strategy briefs

Campaign Execution

  • Execute 2–4 email campaigns per week
  • Manage SMS campaign calendar alongside email - send 2-4 SMS campaigns per month
  • Apply correct segmentation to every send - broad list sends are reserved for urgency and clearance only
  • Own the send checklist: subject line, preview text, segmentation, timing, Smart Sending, UTM tagging

Copy & Briefing

  • Write email and SMS copy directly
  • Maintain brand voice across all sends: conversational, knowledgeable, no hype, no unofficial product shorthand
  • Write subject lines that reflect the intent of the send

Performance & Reporting

  • Pull weekly and monthly performance reports across flows and campaigns
  • Key metrics to track: open rate, click rate, conversion rate, revenue per recipient, flow revenue by branch
  • Surface anomalies and drops proactively
  • Maintain performance log with weekly data
  • Contribute to the monthly performance review with the Director of Marketing

Testing & Optimisation

  • Execute A/B tests from the approved testing backlog
  • Document test parameters, results, and recommended next steps
  • Flag new test hypotheses based on performance data — subject lines, send timing, segment selection, copy angle

Team Coordination

  • Brief and coordinate the Junior Builder on campaign builds and scheduling
  • Brief the Designer on email creative requirements with clear specs and context
  • Liaise with the Director of Marketing weekly on priorities, blockers, and upcoming sends

What We're Looking ForMust-Have

  • 2+ years working directly in Klaviyo - flows, campaigns, segmentation, reporting
  • Demonstrable experience building and optimising automated email flows (not just managing campaign sends)
  • Comfortable with data - can read a performance report, identify what matters, and act on it
  • Strong written English - email copy that is concise, clear, and on-brand without heavy editing
  • Organised and self-directed - can manage a campaign calendar without being chased
  • Understands the difference between flows and campaigns, Smart Sending implications, and basic deliverability hygiene

Strong Advantage

  • Experience with SMS marketing - Klaviyo SMS flows and campaigns specifically
  • Background in ecommerce retail - especially action sports, streetwear, or lifestyle brands
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo's conditional split logic and category-based segmentation
  • Experience coordinating creative and production team members against a content calendar
  • Worked in an agency or multi-brand environment
