Job Description

The Junior Digital Asset Management (DAM) Specialist is responsible for supporting the management of the metadata of all digital assets (images/photography, video, documents, etc.) across the company. The Junior DAM Specialist will review the assets, ensuring the best practices and processes set in place are upheld to ensure the most efficient use of the system. They will assist in organization assets, creating and maintaining relationships between assets, enforcing naming taxonomies and metadata schema, and tagging files with relevant and accurate metadata.

Job Responsibilities

  • Digital Asset Organization: Curate, catalog, and organize digital assets, ensuring they are easily searchable and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Metadata Management: Implement metadata standards to enhance the discoverability and usability of digital assets.
  • Assist in organization, accessibility and preservation of digital assets for marketing, editorial, creative services, videography and media relations, allowing each department area to find and access assets in a simple and efficient manner. Assist in enforcing naming taxonomies and metadata schema to all assets.
  • Assist in execution and organization of projects related to digital assets and the tool.
  • Support stakeholders in asset retrieval, DAM usage and basic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Digital Media, Library and Information Science is a plus.
  • Experience in data management, entry and audit, document managemenT.
  • Proficient in using spreadsheets, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Smartsheet.
  • Highly analytical and meticulous in maintaining information using detail record-keeping systems and metadata.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills.
