Job Description

Office Flex is a permanent Work From Home and includes Fiber Internet, Backup Internet, UPS, PC/Laptop.

The Database Administrator must have skills in the technology utilised in this platform
that include:

• MongoDB 5+
• Advanced Mongo Json Query
• MongoDB Pipelines
• PowerShell or other scripting tools
• MongoDB Atlas experience
• MongoDB Compass experience
• MongoDB Cluster and Shard Experience
• MongoDB tuning
• Data manipulation including extract, transform and
• load skills
• Data automation through cloud services, scripts and
• relevant tooling
• Postgres or similar (nice to have)
• MongoDB Atlas search (nice to have)
• ISO 27001 experience (nice to have)
• .NET experience (nice to have)
• Daily duties:
• Monitor the production database by setting up automated alerts that will alert of any data access or integrity issues
• Work with the development team to ensure the data access is developed in a secure environment, and report any security breaches and risks to executive team.
• Maintain and implement the database policies including, but not limited to: security,
  deployment and disaster recovery, including testing DR plans.
• Provide database leadership and mentorship to the software engineering team,
  including performance, tuning and structure
  Stay abreast of the latest database improvements, including (but not limited to)
• Azure Services, MongoDB, high availability database architectures and global scale
  strategies.
• Provide ad hoc support to project teams for data extraction, manipulation and
  analysis
• Setup high availability database system
• Setup global replicated database system
• Monitor costs and make recommendations for cost savings.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator in a cloud environment with knowledge of modern database architectures and scaling cloud based platforms
• Proven experience of MongoDB Services with the practical skill to set up, deploy,monitor and maintain MongoDB databases
• Some experience implementing the latest cyber security cloud practices for databases
• Knowledge of best practices in database indexing and tuning
