Data Engineer (Excel and VBA)

We are hiring for a Data Engineer (Excel and VBA) with a leading client in BGC, Taguig. This is a full-time hybrid role with a mid-shift schedule, offering a competitive salary of 40,000 55,000 per month.

About the Role:

You will provide technical support and maintenance for business-critical Excel applications connected to MS SQL databases. The role involves troubleshooting, optimizing, and enhancing Excel-based solutions while supporting end-users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with complex Excel workbooks and templates
• Maintain and optimize database connectivity between Excel and MS SQL databases
• Debug, modify, and enhance existing VBA macros; create new automation solutions when required
• Provide user support including training, documentation, and technical assistance
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Excel and SQL queries
• Create and maintain technical documentation for Excel-based solutions
• Test Excel applications after updates or changes to ensure functionality and data integrity
