Job Overview
Under broad guidance, responsible for creating and maintaining one or more of the IQVIA databases.
Essential Functions
- Adds new suppliers to the databases, ensuring quality and completeness.
- Analyzes data sets and completes comparative analysis.
- Manipulates database query software and mainframe applications.
- Uploads/downloads data upon demand.
- Maintains and enhances the quality of the databases.
- Coordinates/consults with functional areas to optimize the use of files and materials.
- Provides project support & coordination, as well as day-to-day maintenance.
- Identifies and implements new automation opportunities to create process efficiencies.
- Defines/updates documentation as deemed necessary to maintain the quality of files and databases.
- Identifies and implements methodologies to circumvent repetitive issues, which occur within the work structure.
- Provides training for new and temporary employees working on the files.
- May make database presentations to both internal and external customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1 -2 years work related experience
- Work experience with IQVIA Database Operations is a plus
- Experience using mainframe tools such as JCL
- Ability to write and modify SQL queries
- Proficiency in Windows applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Proficient in written/oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to view data through both vertical and longitudinal quality controls.
- Ability to anticipate problems and help design the process to prevent database issues.
