Job Description
As a Data Analyst, you will effectively manage your workload to positively contribute to team results and achievements, all while supporting the organisation's overall mission. You will also demonstrate and uphold the organisation's values and behaviours, playing an active role in fostering a positive team and organisational culture. Additionally, you will identify relevant data sources, implement methods to gather and interpret data, and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.

Data Duties: Crunch, Analyze, Visualize!

- Identify relevant and available data sources, implement methods to gather and interpret data, and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Evaluate data quality and effectiveness, identify gaps, and develop processes to improve data reliability and validity.
- Provide insights through data analysis to solve problems, suggest improvements, and increase operational, service, or fundraising effectiveness as needed.
- Champion data quality by conducting regular reviews, coaching, and providing feedback to stakeholders on the importance of clean data for generating insights.
- Complete data manipulation (ETL) processes to update and maintain data quality.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of data storage solutions.
- Utilise various data analysis tools to interpret and translate data into usable and reportable formats, including documentation and data visualisation methods.
- Support continuous improvement in systems, workflows, effectiveness, and timeliness where appropriate.
- Partner with teams to elicit business requirements and provide technical data solutions within the scope of the role.
- Create and maintain documentation related to business processes, requirements, and solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify improvements in operational efficiency and strategic delivery through performance analysis.
- Provide subject matter expertise and operational support to cross-functional teams on various strategic topics as required.
- Participation in corporate and individual prayer and worship activities and events is highly encouraged.
- Perform other duties as required and/or requested in alignment with the position.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, including identifying issues, analyzing, and formulating solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong ability to analyze large datasets.
Knowledge
- Relevant knowledge for the role.
- Foundational knowledge of ETL techniques.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and analytical methodologies.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python, or Java.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel.
- Well-developed understanding of dashboards and performance reporting methodologies.
- Intermediate understanding of relational and multi-dimensional databases.
- Intermediate understanding of DAX.
- Intermediate understanding of Power BI desktop, service, Workspaces, and Apps.
Experience
- Experience in Christian or corporate organisations (desirable).
- Experience in the For-Purpose (NFP) sector (desirable).
- Strong experience in business information analysis and statistical data modeling using various databases and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated experience in applying analysis insights to solve business and process problems.
- Strong experience with data extraction.
- Experience with data models and reporting packages.
- Experience with database solutions such as Azure Synapse and Snowflake.
- Intermediate query skills in SQL, R, or Python.
- Intermediate experience with ETL tools.
- Experience with data visualisation applications such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analysis, or Computer Science.
