Job Description

Nexperia is a world-class company in semiconductor development and in-house production. A proven global player with an entrepreneurial mentality. At our core is an 13,000+ strong international network with a singular focus. Built on passion and commitment to our work, belief in our goals and a drive to succeed regardless of the challenges we face. We support, reward and challenge individuals equally, in a dynamic and energetic environment.

About The Role

As ESG Controller, you will play a key role in integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements into controlling, performance management, and reporting processes. You will ensure that ESG data and KPIs meet finance-controlling standards such as governance, transparency, consistency, and auditability, in line with EU CSRD and ESRS requirements. This role is critical in making sustainability data reliable, decision-relevant, and audit-ready.

What You Will Do

  • Act as the Senior ESG Controlling counterpart for assigned CSRD and ESRS metrics, managing end-to-end data governance, validation, consolidation, and documentation
  • Apply controlling principles (consistency, comparability, plausibility, reconciliation) to ESG KPIs and data processes
  • Collaborate closely with Financial Controlling, Internal Controls, and other stakeholders to align ESG data with group reporting standards
  • Perform quality reviews, variance analysis, and plausibility checks, including year-over-year and cross-site comparisons
  • Support the preparation and governance of external sustainability disclosures, ensuring audit-ready documentation and traceability
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve ESG-related internal control systems (ICS)
  • Drive enhancements in ESG reporting systems, data models, and processes with a focus on automation and scalability
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance policies and external audit requirements
  • Act as a subject-matter expert, guiding ESG data owners on methodologies, KPIs, and reporting standards
  • Serve as a key contact for internal and external auditors on ESG controlling topics

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Controlling, or a related field (sustainability specialization is a plus)
  • 7–10 years of experience in Controlling, Finance, Reporting, Audit, or ESG-related roles
  • Strong understanding of controlling, reporting, and internal control frameworks applied to ESG data
  • Knowledge of EU CSRD, ESRS, and EU Taxonomy, with the ability to translate requirements into controlling processes
  • Experience with KPI frameworks, data analysis, and reporting governance
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, and audit readiness
  • Proficiency in digital reporting tools, data systems, and process automation
  • Independent, structured, and proactive working style
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English and comfortable working in a global environment
  • Experience in SAP FI/CO and MS Office; SAP S/4HANA is an advantage

Why Work for Us

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
  • A commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being
  • An innovative and dynamic work environment
