Role Purpose

  • Supervise the Construction Operations of Port Projects
  • Comment on the constructability of Projects as they develop through the design stages and the associated contractor's methodology
  • Review the project schedule deliverables and monitor progress and report accordingly including any suggested mitigation measures to make up for any delays or potential problems
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with design, programme, quality and safety regulations
  • Coordinate all contractors works across the Port in association with the Project Management
  • Report regularly on progress and measures to ensure delivery on schedule.
  • Ensure prompt response to any Construction related RFI's or technical queries raised by the Contractors.
  • Analyse, prioritise, manage and mitigate construction risks.
  • Spend a significant amount of time on site daily.
  • Ensuring the Contractors are maintaining a tidy and safe site.
  • Checking contractors resources on site are in accordance with their scheduled plans to have sufficient resources to progress and complete the works.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Oversee the construction of the Marine projects for Port Development.
  • Consider the design and its intended purpose, materials to be used, methos of construction and maintenance and identify hazards and control them
  • Ascertain the compliance of the construction operation to Neom's Health and Safety Standards
  • Report construction status (schedule, cost, and quality) to project delivery

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Role Specific Requirements

  • Demonstrable track record in the construction management of complex and high-value sea port projects involving dredging and reclamation works, quay wall construction, cargo handling equipment and associated terminal buildings and facilities
  • Over 10 years of construction experience.
  • Over 5 years of construction experience gained in the Gulf Region.
  • Proven construction feasibility and project planning experience.

General Requirements

  • Health & Safety management experience
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
  • Experience leading and managing high performing individuals and teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
