Our Civil and Urban Infrastructure Business Group which provides civil engineering services to complex, community building projects is looking for a Civil Design Engineer that will deliver the primary functions below:
- Work with the Northern NSW Roads team to undertake design and documentation of roads, drainage, general civil and urban development projects.
- Design management of civil infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to construction.
- Mentor and guide team members to progress their technical, project management and interpersonal skills.
The role includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
- Undertake civil design and drafting tasks, quantity take-offs and preparation of specifications.
- Prepare design concept drawings and ideas for discussion and conceptual development.
- Coordinate the preparation of detail drawings requiring a degree of technical design utilising knowledge of relevant design principles.
- Prepare calculations for quantities and costing of projects.
- Assist with the mentoring of Trainee, Junior Drafters and junior engineers.
- Receive training in various phases of office and field work including design, drawings, construction review, site surveys, studies, and assist in the preparation of memoranda, letters and reports.
- Work as part of a team on larger projects in a leadership capacity.
- Pursue professional development opportunities.
- Recommend improvements and innovations.
Technical Competencies and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil or similar
- Minimum 8 years industry experience
- Proficient in 12D and Civil 3D Civil Design packages. DRAINS, MUSIC, OpenRoads, NavisWorks and/or InfraWorks knowledge desired but not required.
- Highly proficient in civil design.
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD
- Has Strong attention to details
This job offer can be based either in Makati orQuezon City office, depending on your home base / location.
