Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Central Fixed and Intangible Asset Accounting

Review asset disposal and transfer forms received from offices.Verify requests, justification and documentations and adviseoffices as to the correct retirement type option to be used; andany retirement of fixed assets should be taken up in theaccounts. Follow up to offices the list of assets approved forretirement that still exists on the asset input and the list ofassets that were retired and transferred without proper approvaland authorization.

Review and monitoring of annual stocktake submissions of the companyAssets and Beneficiary Assets from offices to ensure that

assets exist, owned by the company, and duly accounted for.

Recommend changes and improvements to the Fixed andIntangible assets management policy and procedures as

necessary, consistent with IPSAS, to ensure that the necessary2 Internal controls are in place.

Provide support on adhoc requirements and in the centralaccounting process of Fixed and Intangible Asset.

Others

Assist in preparing periodic and ad hoc requests by variousinternal and external stakeholders.

Assist in preparing the business requirement and performingtesting procedures during development stage for automation offinancial reports in the system in view of streamlining thebusiness process. Liaise with the business analysts withrespect to any required system changes to meet the needs ofthe organization, as prior approved by FAD.

Assist in providing needed files and data during audits (internaland external).

Assist in managing the team's assigned mailboxes and ticketingtool (Fincoorp).

Perform other administrative and accounting functions as maybe required.

IV. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

University degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field from anaccredited academic institution.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is an advantage

EXPERIENCE

Minimum four years of relevant work experience in the field of accounting,finance, budgeting, audit experience an advantage.

SKILLS

Experience in the field of accounting or finance including the preparation ofannual financial reports and management reports.

Sound knowledge of accounting systems and/or SAP or Oracle plus3generally accepted accounting principles, business risk controls, andaudit/review procedures.

Computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office applications;knowledge of other IT packages and their implementation is an advantage.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of designing, reviewingand revising business processes to achieve efficiency.

V. LANGUAGES
