We are seeking a Bookkeeper proficient in QuickBooks Online to manage full-cycle accounting for multiple small business clients under the direction of a CPA. In this role, you will leverage your QBO expertise to handle transaction coding, monthly bank reconciliations, and the preparation of presentation-ready financial statements. Operating within Eastern Time, this position offers a flexible schedule and a clear growth path, including direct mentorship from the firm owner and future training on Canadian corporate tax preparation.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day, flexible within 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Timezone
Responsibilities:
- Categorize and code financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks Online across multiple client accounts
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity
- Prepare month-end journal entries and support the month-end close process
- Review and ensure financial statements are accurate, consistent, and presentation-ready
- Assist with the preparation of compilation engagements and supporting documentation
- Support invoicing and general administrative accounting tasks as needed
- Handle bookkeeping for multiple small business clients under the direction of the CPA
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data privacy protocols for all client information

Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and the full-cycle bookkeeping process
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple client files
