Job Description

Our client, a U.S.-based venture capital fund is seeking a CPA-qualified Bookkeeping Associate to join the finance team. This role will maintain accurate accounting records, support fund reporting, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and fund accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping for the fund and management company.
  • Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and manage AP/AR.
  • Support preparation of quarterly/annual financial statements.
  • Assist with capital calls, distributions, and portfolio company investment tracking.
  • Coordinate with auditors, administrators, and tax advisors.
  • Monitor compliance with GAAP and fund accounting best practices.
  • Support investor relations with data requests and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license.
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 24 years of accounting experience, ideally in venture capital, private equity, or fund audit.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of LP/GP accounting and fund structures preferred.
