Job Description

As a Bookkeeper at JKM Management Services, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and contributing to our client's financial success.

Employment Type: Full-time
Shift: Day Shift (Mon to Fri, 9 AM to 6 PM AU Eastern time with flexibility)
Work Setup: Permanent Work from Home (WFH)

What do you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with AU clients.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Xero.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.

  • Establishing accounts and posting financial transactions.
  • Developing and implementing a robust financial transaction system.
  • Maintaining subsidiary accounts, verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balancing the general ledger, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries.
  • Managing historical records through proper filing.
  • Preparing financial reports by analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Processing accounts receivable and payable.
  • Handling monthly payroll using accounting software.
  • Collaborating with an accountant when necessary.
