As an Audit Lead / Assistant Manager, you will review financial statements, manage audit engagements, and lead teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards. You'll oversee multiple audits while providing insights and maintaining high-quality audit delivery.

The Qualifications We Seek

Essential

  • Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
  • Completed CPA (or similar qualification)

Demonstrated Experience & Attributes

  • 4-5 years of audit experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, and other applicable legislation

Desirable

  • Previous experience managing a team

Your Daily Tasks

  • Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues
  • Review financial statements for compliance with Accounting Standards and prepare reports and management opinions
  • Perform reviews of audit work and summarize key engagement areas for the partner
  • Conduct simultaneous audit engagements with multiple team members
  • Manage and coordinate audit teams, ensuring training, mentoring, and methodology compliance
  • Monitor staffing requirements and resource planning
  • Assist partners and managers with business development and marketing initiatives
