About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, maintain our accounts inbox, schedule payments, and perform reconciliations using QuickBooks Online Australia. This role requires proficiency in double-entry accounting and GST compliance, with experience in ApprovalMax being highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Maintain and organize the accounts inbox, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
  • Schedule and coordinate payments to suppliers and vendors.
  • Perform regular reconciliations in QuickBooks Online Australia to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Apply double-entry accounting principles to maintain accurate and compliant financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) requirements.
  • Assist with financial reporting and other ad-hoc bookkeeping tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
What You Need:
. Intermediate-level bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of AP/AR
processes.
. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Australia for data entry, reconciliations, and reporting.
.
Strong knowledge of double-entry accounting principles.
. Familiarity with Australian GST regulations and compliance.
.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and general computer literacy.
. Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a similar role.
. Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
. Experience with QuickBooks Online is essential.
. ApprovalMax experience is a plus but not mandatory.
