The opportunity

Project: An integrated mountain resort project in Pampanga, Philippines. Located between Angeles city and New Clark city. Phase 1 works include development of an 18 hole championship golf course, banyan tree main building and resort villas, club house, and ancillary site wide infrastructure and facilities.

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking candidate to join our established and growing team in the Philippines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing contract administration flow chart based on client's requirement to identify all required notices, time bars and etc.

  • Administering all contracts and purchase orders related to construction activities.

  • Checking to ensure the contractors insurance certificates and renewal of insurance are in place during the onsite construction period.

  • Claiming settlement - evaluating claims on time and cost and managing the claim settlement process.

  • Working together with other stakeholders on settlement of claims to minimise or avoid disputes.

  • Establishing and updating a claim log.

  • Inspecting timely to ascertain that the contractors fulfill their contractual obligations in confirming completion and issuing appropriate certificates.

  • Recommending to the client with a remedial plan if non-compliance is identified.

  • Closing out contract and procurement activities as per established procedures when the project is approaching completion and hand over to client for management of payment retention and quality warranty.

  • Providing necessary inputs for risk management.

  • Managing the procurement process for consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers including long lists, shortlists, prequalification, tendering, mid tender meetings, writing contract placement reports, contract award.

  • Compiling RFPs and tender documents and managing the outputs from others as required i.e. design information, the scope of works, forms of contract.

  • Liaising with other experts on contract forms (lawyers) and insurance requirements.

  • Researching the supply chain (locally and internationally) to understand options, constraints, lead in times, current workloads, bonding capacity, experience in the sector.

  • Securing and procuring all key packages for contractors and consultants.

  • Ensuring that the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority throughout all stages of the project's life cycle.

  • Developing the client's brief and procurement strategy.

  • Leading the development of new and established supply chain partners.

  • Developing the procurement and project management strategy in line with the Mace Way and the client requirements.

About you

You will have a degree qualification in civil engineering and be a member of a professional body. You will have experience in procurement management.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
