Job Description

General Purpose:

This is an individual contributor role. Manages simple to moderately complex Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes from iDOC monitoring to Partner Mapping. Responsible for supporting the processes of implementing new EDI customers connections including requirements definition, data integrity, testing, training, and reporting. Monitor daily EDI operations: verify EDI transmissions, assure compliance, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis, data exception handling, and re-processing when necessary. Work with clients and trading partners to gather requirements, define rules in order to build out logic, and respond to requests and questions. Specialist must be able to deliver enhancements in subject area including interaction with client end-users, customer service / super-users, process and system functionality, requirement gathering, functional specification documentation, unit testing / functional testing / and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Act as interface between business and IT development as well as conduct support. Specialist must have the ability to perform independently, while working effectively across clients's organization, when required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the client EDI solutions - used all along the Order Management Cycle, resolving simple to mid-complex issues and providing issue resolution according to the set guidelines provided.
  • Implement new EDI customers, in coordination with internal/external partners and technical support.
  • Manage the existing customers mapping change.
  • Resolve the EDI issues with cross functional team.
  • Responsible for monitoring work queues and errors in SAP, register cases in relevant systems and work with them until resolution.
  • Meet or exceed established SAP Support Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Update procedures, operation instructions, and any other documentation impacted by process set up and changes.
  • Active participation in trainings and proactive seeks for knowledge and facilitates interactions and escalations with appropriate parties.
  • Ensures adherence to client policies, guidelines, and procedures as required for the effectiveness and quality of the services provided.
  • Coordinates in a timely manner with different teams thru emails, meetings or phones calls which would require high level of accuracy and critical thinking.
  • Follow-up on process delays and/or coordinate activities required to complete assigned tasks within SLA targets.
  • May be required to generate and provide simple reports and analytics directly related to the function.
  • Continuous improvement of processes and Lean Six Sigma project coordination which may include Identifying opportunities to improve data quality & reduce cycle time.
  • May be involved in training and pre/post deployment support.
  • Other tasks assigned by team leader.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3- 5 years of experience in Order management as user, super user, support function, integrating electronic flow management (Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), web platform, etc.) with technical skills.
  • SAP OTC Order To Cash (sales documents) knowledge/expertise.
  • Fluent Japanese and English language skills in listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Experience in supply chain, order-to-cash processes, order management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency coordinating tasks.
  • Demonstrated detailed orientation and working with operational processes.
  • Demonstrated skills in training people.
  • Collaborative Team player.
  • Analytical.
  • Fast Learner.
  • Working across a wide array of organizations, countries and business or functional processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge/expertise in electronic solutions (EDI standards, data mapping) would be a plus.
  • SAP experience (other streams than OTC).
  • Project management.
