Job Summary:


As an Aircraft Mechanic/ Avionics Mechanic at AirAsia Philippines, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on our aircraft fleet to ensure safe and efficient operations. You will play a critical role in maintaining the airworthiness of our aircraft, adhering to all regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the aviation industry and contribute to the success of AirAsia Philippines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on AirAsia Philippines aircraft in accordance with approved manuals, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshoot, and diagnose aircraft systems, components, and structures to identify and resolve issues promptly and accurately.

  • Repair or replace faulty aircraft parts, including engines, landing gear, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and avionics.

  • Carry out necessary adjustments, calibrations, and testing of aircraft systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.

  • Complete accurate maintenance records and reports to document all work performed and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, including engineers, technicians, and support staff, to coordinate work activities, share knowledge, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Follow safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements, industry trends, and regulatory changes related to aircraft maintenance, and implement them as required.

  • Support the training and development of junior mechanics, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and conduct, representing AirAsia Philippines positively in all interactions with colleagues, customers, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) or equivalent (additional technical certifications or education in aviation maintenance is a plus).

  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant License or Valid Avionics Specialist License

  • Preferably with professional driver's license

  • Fresh Graduates and experienced candidate are welcome to apply

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and structures, including engines, avionics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing aircraft systems and equipment.

  • Ability to use various hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized instruments.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to travel occasionally for training or on-site support.
