- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational objectives.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insights to management.
- Prepare financial forecasts, models, and budgets.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including setting timelines, coordinating with departments, and consolidating budget data.
- Monitor budget performance and report variances.
- Update forecasts regularly based on actual performance and market conditions.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- General Ledger Management
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Conduct regular reconciliations and reviews of ledger accounts.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital management.
- Ensure accurate billing and collection processes.
- Compliance and Auditing
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure financial integrity.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external tax advisors as needed.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Strategic Support
- Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Participate in business development initiatives and evaluate financial impact.
- Assist in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate finance activities.
- System Management and Process Improvement
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on best practices and technological advancements in financial management.Train staff on the use of accounting software and tools.
