Accountant (Accounts Payable)

The successful candidate is responsible for processing of suppliers invoices, account reconciliation, payroll, employee loans, expense account liquidations, and cash advances. He will also ensure compliance with government agencies regulations pertaining to the withholding of taxes on supplier invoices.

The Role

• Processes invoices of suppliers and contractors in compliance with company policies and BIR requirements
• Handles document management including journal entries, employee expense reports, cash advances, payment requests, supplier vouchers
• Handles petty cash disbursements and replenishments as Petty Cash Custodian
• Releases checks to employees and suppliers/contractors and secures receipts of payments
• Processes employee expense reports and cash advances in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Prepares month-end journal entries (e.g., invoice accruals)
• Performs account reconciliations and internal control testing

The Individual

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any Finance-related fields
• With 1 to 2 years of experience in accounts payable, regulatory requirements, accounting reimbursements, and document management is preferred
• With strong analytical ability on financial transactions and reconciliation of accounts
• Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (strong MS Excel skills preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge in JDEdwards and Ariba is an advantage
• Willing to be based in Makati City
