Job Description
As an Azure Engineer at PwC, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient operation of cloud environments, applying best practices to optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Azure infrastructure solutions, including virtual networks, storage accounts, and virtual machines
- Implement and manage Azure services such as Azure Active Directory, Azure App Services, and Azure SQL Database
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Automate deployment and configuration processes using tools like Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and PowerShell scripts
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices, including identity and access management
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and integration
- Stay updated with the latest Azure features and industry trends to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Azure Engineer or in a similar cloud engineering role
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and architecture
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud is a plus
