About the Role

The Sales Development Representative is an individual contributor role within the Sales Development team. This role holds primary ownership of opportunities within the micro and down-market SMB segment (1 to 50 employees), with a predominantly inbound, high-velocity motion focused on fast response, quality qualification, and consistent pipeline creation, working closely with Account Executives on shorter sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Own qualification and pipeline creation for leads and opportunities within the 1 to 50 employee segment.
Respond to and qualify high volumes of inbound leads with fast speed-to-lead and disciplined follow-up.
Consistently deliver a personal target of $100K in qualified pipeline.
Consistently deliver a persona target of $15K in Annualised Recurring Revenue
Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure clean handovers and strong conversion across shorter, higher-velocity sales cycles.
Apply best-practice qualification standards across a high-velocity, predominantly inbound motion.
Maintain high standards of CRM hygiene, reporting, and forecasting accuracy.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of SDR processes, playbooks, and team culture.

How Success Is Measured

Consistent achievement of personal pipeline targets.
Speed-to-lead, conversion, and progression of opportunities within the 1 to 50 customer segment.
Improved qualification standards and reduced rework for Account Executives.
Strong cross-functional alignment between Marketing, SDRs, and Account Executives.

About You

1-2+ years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or similar customer-facing sales role, ideally within B2B SaaS.
Proficiency in English and proven experience prospecting and selling to Australian SMB
A track record of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline targets in a high-volume environment.
Comfort managing a fast-moving inbound lead queue with strong prioritisation and follow-up discipline.
Solid discovery and qualification fundamentals, with a willingness to learn structured frameworks such as BANT.
Experience handing qualified opportunities to Account Executives cleanly and supporting conversion.
Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools, with good data hygiene habits.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly over phone and email.
A coachable, energetic, and resilient approach, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Exposure to the disability, aged care, or broader healthcare sector is advantageous but not essential.
Must have fast, consistent internet access
