Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a holdings company. Our respective client is seeking for a AVP Finance who will build and lead the finance governance structure of the organization. The role will provide enterprise-wide financial leadership across utilities, power, agribusiness, manufacturing, refining, and specialty pulp. The role will ensure strong accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, audit, controls, and financial planning practices. This role has an onsite work requirement in Makati City and will be reporting to the company President.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain group-wide finance standards while respecting the operational accountability and autonomy of each subsidiary.
Provide guidance to subsidiary Finance Heads on key finance matters, including reporting quality, internal controls, treasury discipline, budget governance, and management analysis.
Develop a consolidated view of financial performance, cash position, key risks, funding requirements, and investment priorities for the President and Board of Directors.
Challenge and validate key financial assumptions before major decisions are finalized, particularly those related to capital expenditures, financing, leases, intercompany arrangements, and expansion initiatives.
Strengthen approval processes and financial governance while maintaining an appropriate balance between control, efficiency, and business agility.
Establish the group finance governance framework for all subsidiaries, including financial reporting standards, approval controls, budget discipline, treasury policies, and management reporting timelines.
Functionally guide the Finance Heads
Standardize finance templates across the Group, including monthly financial reports, cash flow forecasts, budget templates, capital expenditure approval papers, project feasibility models, and management dashboards.
Serve as the finance adviser of the President and BOD on group wide financial performance, funding risks, profitability, cash position, and investment priorities.
Lead the annual budget, forecast, and strategic planning process across all subsidiaries.
Review business cases for major investments, including return on investment, payback period, funding source, sensitivity analysis, risk exposure, and cash impact.
Review significant accounting judgments, including depreciation, impairment, inventory valuation, provisions, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and project cost capitalization.
Oversee compliance with BIR, SEC, local government, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, banks, government agencies, and regulatory bodies where applicable.
Design and implement internal financial controls across the Group.
Strengthen controls over purchasing, disbursements, collections, inventory, fixed assets, payroll interfaces, intercompany transactions, bank accounts, and petty cash.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance, CPA is required.
At least 15 years of experience in finance from holding companies.
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax, statutory reporting, audit requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Experience managing or functionally supervising Finance Heads, Controllers, Accounting Managers, Treasury Managers, or Finance Business Partners.
Strong Excel and financial modelling capability. ERP or accounting system implementation experience is an advantage.
Must be comfortable working with Senior Executives/Management
