Our client is currently seeking a Tax Accountant to support tax reporting and compliance activities for its Philippine entities. This role will be responsible for preparing tax reports, performing tax reconciliations, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting tax audit requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance and Tax team to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in operational accounting, tax accounting, or finance operations.
Knowledge and experience in Philippine tax compliance and reporting is preferred.
Experience using SAP or other ERP/accounting systems is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Ability to handle ambiguity, adapt to changing requirements, and deliver results within deadlines.
Strong execution skills with the ability to complete tasks, maintain proper documentation, and follow established processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and tax-related information.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The role is primarily responsible for preparing and maintaining tax reporting information for Philippine entities. The position reports to the Senior Associate, Finance and Tax Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

Prepare tax reporting schedules, supporting documents, and reconciliations for various Philippine taxes, including:
Documentary Stamp Tax (DST)
Withholding VAT (WV AT)
Final Withholding Tax (FWT)
Withholding Tax on Compensation (WTC)
Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
Value Added Tax (VAT)
Other Percentage Tax (OPT)
Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT)
Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT)
Review and analyze accounting records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with tax reporting requirements.
Perform transcription and recording of accounting data into relevant systems and reports.
Prepare tax-related reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
Review and validate work performed by outsourced service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Support internal and external tax audits by gathering required documentation, extracting financial information, and performing account reconciliations.
Assist in maintaining proper tax documentation and audit support files.
Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and other stakeholders to resolve tax and reporting issues.
Ensure timely completion of assigned tax reporting activities while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
