Orca Brands is hiring a Senior Video Editor to own the premium end of our video output. This is not a fast and scrappy social editing role. We already have that covered. This role exists because we make polished, cinematic, high-production video: YouTube ads, connected TV commercials, brand films, and flagship product launches for our premium brand, SRILabs. It's a gap on our team, and we're looking for one exceptional person to fill it.

About the Role

You'll be the editor we hand our most important footage to. Product launch shot on a cinema camera Yours. A 60-second YouTube pre-roll that has to justify a premium price point Yours. A CTV spot that needs to look broadcast-ready across every screen size Yours.

You'll work closely with our creative director, marketing team, and production partners to take raw footage, briefs, and scripts and turn them into finished pieces that feel expensive, intentional, and unmistakably on-brand. You'll have creative ownership and minimal hand-holding, and you'll be expected to bring taste, not just technical execution.

What You'll Do

Edit high-production YouTube ads (pre-roll, in-stream, and long-form) built to hold attention and convert without cheap tricks
Cut CTV / OTT commercials (15s, 30s, 60s) to broadcast standards, including proper delivery specs, safe zones, loudness compliance, and multiple aspect ratios
Produce brand films, product launch videos, and hero content for SRILabs and other Orca brands that reflect a premium positioning
Own color grading and finishing, ensuring consistent, cinematic looks across campaigns
Design and execute motion graphics, typography, and product callouts that feel elegant rather than templated
Build sound design and music edits that elevate pacing and emotion, including mixing, sound effects, and licensed music selection
Adapt master edits into platform-specific cutdowns (YouTube, CTV, web, Meta, TikTok) while preserving quality and brand integrity
Collaborate on pre-production: review scripts and shot lists, flag what you'll need in the edit, and shape stories before cameras roll
Maintain a brand visual system for video: transitions, lower thirds, end cards, type treatments, and reusable templates
Manage multiple projects at once while protecting quality and hitting deadlines

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

Professional video editing experience (we don't care about years of experience, we care that you can actually produce results, so a portfolio of past work is what we will look at most), with a portfolio of high-production commercial, brand, or broadcast work
Expert-level Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (DaVinci Resolve for color is a strong plus)
Demonstrated color grading skills, with a reel that shows a cinematic and consistent look
Strong motion graphics ability: kinetic type, product callouts, clean transitions, and 2D animation
Solid sound design and audio mixing fundamentals
Deep understanding of story structure, pacing, and rhythm, and how they change between a 15-second CTV spot and a 3-minute brand film
Meticulous eye for detail: you notice a two-frame jump cut, a slightly off skin tone, or misaligned text before anyone else
Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and turn creative direction into finished work with minimal supervision
Fluent English and strong communication skills; comfortable presenting cuts and taking direct feedback

Nice-to-haves

Experience editing for premium consumer products
Familiarity with YouTube ad performance metrics (view-through rate, skip rate, retention) and how editing decisions affect them
Experience directing or shooting, or working closely with a DP on set
