About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Tax Supervisor to manage the full spectrum of tax activities in the Philippines. This role requires someone who can independently perform day-to-day tax work while also overseeing compliance, audits, and strategic planning. The Tax Supervisor will ensure accurate and timely filings, lead tax audits, and provide tax insights that support the growth of a dynamic hospitality and technology-driven business.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

Take full ownership of the timely and accurate filing and payment of all monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate tax returns and supporting schedules (including VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, final tax, DST, and other applicable returns).
Ensure proper reconciliation of tax accounts and propose adjustments to correct balances as needed.
Oversee the preparation of tax accounting entries, deferred tax calculations, and group reporting packages.
Ensure compliance with BIR tax mapping requirements and other regulatory mandates.

Regulatory & Legal Coordination

Coordinate renewal of business permits and other statutory registrations with relevant government offices.
Manage responses to letters of notice from BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and LGUs.
Liaise with external counsel, corporate secretary, or company lawyers for legal compliance and regulatory matters.

Audit & Risk Management

Represent the company in BIR audits, examinations, and assessments, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
Conduct periodic tax compliance reviews and communicate findings with recommendations to close gaps.
Oversee the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and related-party disclosures, ensuring compliance with local requirements.

Tax Advisory & Strategic Input

Review contracts and agreements to identify tax implications and recommend strategies to mitigate risks.
Provide clear tax guidance to internal stakeholders (finance, operations, and support teams) on transactions and projects.
Stay updated on Philippine tax legislation, rulings, and industry practices, and communicate changes proactively.
Develop and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in tax operations.

Collaboration & Leadership

Serve as the go-to person for management and external auditors on tax-related matters.
Train and guide finance staff on tax processes, updates, and compliance requirements.
Partner with regional finance leaders to align on cross-border tax matters and best practices.
Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement in the tax function
Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
Minimum 3 years of progressive tax experience,
Strong expertise in Philippine taxation laws, regulations, and BIR practices.
Experience in a multinational, hospitality, or tech-driven company is preferred.
Proven ability to manage BIR audits hands-on while also providing strategic oversight.
Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in SAP or Netsuite accounting system or any accounting software is an advantage.
