Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing month-end close processes, revenue journal entries, and bank reconciliations, this role combines hands-on financial tasks with strategic contributions to NetSuite projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute month-end financial close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting.

• Take responsibility for the accurate recording of revenue transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Perform and supervise bank data matching and reconciliations in NetSuite.

• Resolve discrepancies and address issues related to bank transactions.

• Lead and contribute to NetSuite projects aimed at enhancing submodule functionalities, particularly in bank auto-matching.

• Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.

• Provide expertise in coding General Ledger (GL) strings to facilitate accurate financial reporting.

• Ensure adherence to coding standards and contribute to the development of efficient coding practices.

• Collaborate in the development and writing of financial reports, offering insights and analysis.

• Assist in creating and maintaining financial statements, supporting management in decision-making.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to achieve accurate and comprehensive financial reporting.

• Provide training and support to team members on relevant accounting processes.

• Actively participate in discussions and provide valuable input for process improvements and system enhancements.

• Contribute ideas to optimize financial reporting and streamline accounting procedures.

• Oversee a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support.

• Ensure team members adhere to deadlines and maintain a high standard of accuracy.

• Conduct performance evaluations, providing feedback and identifying areas for professional development.

• Encourage a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Lead initiatives to enhance departmental processes, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.

• Implement best practices for financial reporting and accounting functions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy.

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Public Accountant in a Big Four firm.

• At least two (2) years of experience as a Senior Accountant.

• At least two (2) years of experience in a leadership role.

• Extensive background in accounting roles, particularly focused on financial reporting.

• Familiarity with the development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), showcasing a strategic mindset towards performance metrics.

• Proficient in utilizing advanced accounting software, with a specific emphasis on experience with NetSuite.
