Senior Credit Controller

About the role

This is a full-time, permanent role responsible for managing customer credit, collections, cash application and accounts receivable activities to support strong cash flow and healthy working capital. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances, resolve billing and payment queries, and maintain accurate customer accounts. They will play a key role in managing credit risk while ensuring compliance with BSI's credit control policies, governance requirements and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have credit control or accounts receivable experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

Monitor customer accounts and aged receivables to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
Follow up overdue invoices and maintain accurate collection records and ageing reports.
Investigate and resolve billing disputes, payment issues and collection blockers with customers and internal teams.
Assess customer creditworthiness and support decisions on credit limits and payment terms.
Reconcile customer accounts, allocate cash receipts and resolve unapplied or unidentified payments.
Prepare and analyse aged debt reports, highlighting overdue trends, risks and collection performance.
Ensure compliance with credit control policies, governance requirements and internal controls.
Support audits, reporting activities and continuous improvement initiatives across collections and accounts receivable processes.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

Proven ability to reduce overdue debt and improve aged debt performance through effective credit control activities.
Strong collections experience, with a track record of achieving timely and effective debt recovery.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate cash reconciliation, allocation and customer account management.
Sound understanding of credit risk management principles, credit policies and compliance requirements.
Experience preparing aged debt reports, identifying risks and escalating issues appropriately.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to resolve queries and disputes professionally and efficiently.

Nice to have:

Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools to support debt management and reconciliation activities.

Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships across finance, sales and customer-facing teams to support effective account resolution.

The guide salary for this role ranges from 520,000 PHP - 650,000 PHP per year. Your actual pay will be based on factors including your experience and expertise.
