As a key subsidiary of SMC Infrastructure, you will join the Company that is responsible for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the MRT7 project. The MRT7 Project is set to redefine the commute between Metro Manila and Bulacan by introducing a modern, high-efficiency rail network.

The MRT7 Project at a Glance

The MRT7 is a 22-kilometer rail and road system extending from North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Designed to be a backbone of northern metropolitan transit, the project features 14 strategically placed stations, including Quezon North Avenue Joint Station, University Avenue, Batasan, and San Jose del Monte.

Once fully operational, the MRT7 is engineered to support a massive daily capacity of up to 650,000 passengers, offering a faster and more seamless travel experience for the commuting public.

About the Role

The Rolling Stock Technician is responsible for performing daily general inspections and ensuring the interior and exterior cleanliness of the fleet. This role involves conducting scheduled service checks at determined intervals and executing general maintenance support activities to ensure the rolling stock remains in peak operational condition. As a member of the Quick Response Team (QRT), the technician provides the initial response to rolling stock failures or incidents while strictly adhering to and implementing all established safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the reliability and high standard of the fleet through routine and scheduled technical interventions.
Conduct general visual inspections and ensure the interior and exterior cleanliness of the train fleet.
Perform periodic rolling stock service checks in strict accordance with defined maintenance intervals.
Execute general maintenance support tasks to maintain the peak operational condition of all train systems.
Act as the technical first responder for rolling stock-related failures or incidents, providing immediate troubleshooting to minimize service disruptions.
Enforce and adhere to all established safety protocols and industrial standards during maintenance and recovery operations.
Facilitate the formal turnover of completed and service-ready trains to the Train Operations department.
Coordinate closely with the Rolling Stock Engineer to manage train movements within the depot, ensuring safe and efficient positioning for maintenance activities.
Update and report on the status of tools, equipment, and components within the Maintenance Management System (MMS) to ensure accurate inventory and asset tracking.
Assist in the generation of daily and monthly maintenance accomplishment reports to track fleet performance and work progress.
Provide technical input and support throughout the procurement lifecycle for spare parts, consumables, and rolling stock assets.

Qualifications:

Certification on Vocational Course/s; Diploma in Technology-related Fields; or graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics, or other relevant technical courses.
Preferably with at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
