The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Data Scientist to design, develop and deploy advanced analytics, machine learning and AI-driven solutions across the business.

In this role, you'll work closely with business leaders, analysts, engineers and technology teams to solve complex challenges using data. From predictive modelling and Agentic AI solutions to data pipelines and machine learning deployment, you'll play a key role in shaping how Symbos leverages data to drive smarter decisions and better outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

Design, develop and deploy advanced analytics, machine learning and AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Build predictive models, statistical frameworks and machine learning algorithms using Python and SQL.
Develop Agentic AI and advanced analytical solutions across large and complex datasets.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model validation and performance optimisation.
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes and transformation workflows.
Work with structured and unstructured data across cloud and enterprise environments.
Present insights and recommendations through dashboards, visualisations and stakeholder presentations.
Collaborate with Data Engineering and Technology teams to support data quality, governance and model deployment.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices across Data Science, AI, Machine Learning and Cloud Computing.

What We're Looking ForEssential

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer or Advanced Analytics role.
Strong Python and SQL development skills.
Experience building and deploying predictive models and machine learning solutions.
Strong understanding of statistical analysis, feature engineering and model evaluation techniques.
Experience working with large and complex datasets.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Nice to Have

Experience with Agentic AI, Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Exposure to Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with MLOps and production model deployment.
Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or other data visualisation tools.
Experience working within agile and cross-functional environments.
