An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Manager - PRSC to join the Product Safety & Compliance department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About The Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, an understanding of the safety engineering process, excellent project management skills, and demonstrable experience in managing outsourced projects. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

What You Will Do

Identification and Management of Work Packages

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify project work packages suitable for outsourcing.
Capture and document detailed work package scopes of work, requirements, and specifications.
In collaboration with internal stakeholders and engineering functions, create packages of work for sharing with selected vendors.

Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate vendors for outsourced work packages in collaboration with procurement and other internal stakeholders.
Support procurement in the negotiation of contracts and service level agreements with vendors (where appropriate).
Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure high quality deliverables.

Project Planning and Execution

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocations.
Monitor progress of outsourced work packages to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Communication and Reporting

Provide regular updates to project and engineering leadership on project statuses.
Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external vendors.

About You

An engineering qualification in a STEM subject or equivalent e.g. HND, Bachelor's / Master's Degree, Apprenticeship)
Proven experience in technical project management, preferably with a focus on managing outsourced packages of work.
Demonstrable experience of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously is highly desirable.
Experience performing project management of safety related project activities per ISO26262, IEC 61508 or other industry equivalent is highly advantageous for this role.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools e.g. Microsoft Project
