Role Description:

The Compensation & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the efficient and accurate administration of compensation, benefits, and payroll-related activities for Healthway Clinics, supporting multiple clinic sites and a high-volume employee population.

The role is primarily responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll and employee compensation, while also providing analytical support for compensation programs, salary reviews, benefits administration, and HR workforce reporting.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment where payroll accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and timely employee support are critical. The role requires someone who can work hands-on with payroll operations while also translating compensation data into meaningful insights and recommendations for management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Management

Manage and support end-to-end payroll processing for a high-volume workforce across multiple sites.
Validate payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, leave, deductions, allowances, and salary adjustments.
Conduct payroll reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee concerns.
Ensure compliance with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other applicable requirements.
Coordinate with HR, Finance, Timekeeping, and clinic/site teams on payroll-related matters.

2. Compensation & Benefits

Support salary reviews, job offers, promotions, transfers, and salary adjustments.
Conduct salary analysis to assess internal equity, salary positioning, and market competitiveness.
Assist in salary benchmarking and compensation studies.
Analyze payroll and compensation data to identify trends, variances, and cost implications.
Administer employee benefits and coordinate with benefits providers.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related transactions.

3. HR Analytics & Process Improvement

Prepare reports and analysis on payroll, compensation, benefits, headcount, and workforce costs.
Provide data and insights to support HR and management decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll and C&B processes across clinic sites.
Support HR audits, projects, and HRIS/payroll system enhancements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations, or a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing is highly preferred.
Experience handling high-volume payroll and/or employees across multiple sites, branches, clinics, retail locations, hospitals, or other distributed operations is an advantage.
Experience in compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, job evaluation, salary structures, or pay equity is preferred.
Experience working with HRIS and/or payroll systems is required.
Healthcare, hospital, clinic, retail, BPO, shared services, or other high-volume environments is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll processes and statutory requirements.
Strong understanding of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR, withholding tax, and other payroll-related statutory requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, and payroll reconciliation.
Experience using HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Ability to analyze salary data, payroll costs, compensation movements, and employee trends.
Familiarity with salary benchmarking and compensation market data is an advantage.
