Scope of the role

As a Social Content Strategist, you live and breathe social culture - understand what makes audiences stop, scroll, share and comment. You'll bridge creativity and data, shaping social-first ideas that build communities, drive engagement, and deliver measurable business impact. This role is equal parts storyteller, strategist, and trend whisperer — perfect for someone who loves crafting narratives that connect brand purpose with platform behavior. You'll be at the heart of crafting and executing game-changing social media campaigns. You're not just planning; you're architecting audience journeys, sparking conversations, and igniting brand love. You will evaluate and refine our social IPs from a commercial perspective, build a deep understanding of our social products to serve as an expert and collaborate across teams to craft compelling social content solutions aligned with client briefs.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with commissioning and production teams, as well as the digital and social strategists to brainstorm, conceptualize and shape thumb-stopping social content — from pitch to execution for brands.
Craft social content proposals that balance brand storytelling with social entertainment, collaborating with sales, clients and platform partners to ensure feasibility and delivery of creative, bold and commercially sound campaigns.
Stay plugged into cultural moments, platform and feature evolutions — from TikTok shifts to Instagram tools, translating these into best-in-class campaigns and social products. You'll be a go-to voice internally and externally on what's next in social.
Champion Mediacorp's social IPs: understand our audience, content pillars, content parameters, performance and be involved in launching new IPs that are commercially savvy.
POC for Growth Commissioning (Customer Group) to stay up to date on social IPs and attend weekly WIP meetings to review IP performance
Present strategies and campaign performance confidently to internal and external stakeholders.
Partner with media teams to ensure organic and paid strategies work hand in hand.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Media, Business, Psychology, Analytics, related disciplines or equivalent relevant experience.
8 to 10 years of experience in digital, content, or social strategy roles, with proven experience developing social-first strategies that led to measurable audience engagement or brand growth.
Bonus: experience in social listening tools or working directly with creators.
Strong grasp of social media trends, platforms, and social content creator ecosystems.
Comfortable using insights (qualitative or quantitative) to shape thinking, and the various tools to enable that.
Strong communication skills — written, visual, and verbal.
