Job Description

As a Tax Accountant, you'll deliver high-quality Australian accounting and taxation services by managing financial reporting, compliance, and advisory support for international clients. Your expertise will contribute to business-critical engagements while strengthening your technical capabilities within one of Australia's most prestigious Big 4 accounting environments.

The Qualifications We Seek

At least 2 years of Australian Tax experience
2 years of Australian Public Practice Accounting experience
Exposure to SME and mid-market clients with AUD 5M-100M+ turnover
Experience preparing Australian financial statements, tax workpapers, and income tax returns
Strong understanding of Australian taxation, GST, and compliance requirements
Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills

Your Daily Tasks

Australian Financial Reporting

Prepare Australian financial statements across multiple entity structures for review.
Process journals into client accounting systems.
Prepare supporting workpapers to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.

Australian Tax Compliance

Prepare Australian income tax returns for individuals and business entities for review.
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with Australian compliance requirements.
Coordinate with the Australian Taxation Office on client-related matters.

Client Advisory Support

Review and organize client documentation and financial information.
Conduct research to support advisory engagements and prepare technical file notes.
Contribute to the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax outcomes for international clients.
